**Responsibilities**
- Conduct assessment inspections, testing, repairs, and calibration of specified tools and devices including hydraulic tools, hoists, jumper cables, ground cables, insulated live line tools and other tools as required
- Estimate and quote repairs for customers; communicate with customers (after training)
- Identify repair/replacement parts needed based on experience and training level
- Assemble tools and products from components to finished goods
**Requirements**:
- Work at customer locations and run on-site service programs as needed
- Proven mechanical aptitude (previous tool repair experience, i.e., tool rental company, lawn and garden repair centres, construction, pump repair, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Solid communications skills (English verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of standard safety practices
- Able to work in a team environment and work independently without direct supervision
- Capable of problem solving
- Computer skills an asset
**Education/Experience**
- High school diploma with 2 to 3 years post-secondary education in electrical/mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of two years experience within the specific industry, or minimum of five years in auto, rental shop, small engine repairs, machine shop, bike shop, construction or technical tool repair and service environment.
