**About your next** challenge as Lead, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)**:
The EHS Lead, with direction from the EHS Manager and support of the MAS’ EHS Team, will be responsible for implementing, and maintaining the policies, programs, and procedures within the L3Harris EHS management system, and will ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, local, and customer EHS requirements.

The EHS Lead must serve as a change agent and demonstrate the ability to guide operations leaders in implementing EHS programs, building a zero injury culture, and minimizing impact on the environment.

**What you will do**:

- Participate actively with the organization’s leadership to establish policies and directions to achieve the targets and objectives within the EHS program;
- Lead and cultivate a team of EHS professionals to support actions and meet the sites and company EHS goals and compliance obligations;
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring company environment, health and safety (EHS) programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, provincial and local EHS regulations;
- Works with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met;
- Focuses on continuous improvement of EHS programs in processes, systems, and products;
- Conducts root cause analysis, workplace surveys, safety audits and assessments. Advises management of conditions requiring corrective action;
- Provides/supports EHS briefings and training sessions as appropriate to fulfill regulatory requirements and foster a safe working environment;
- Leads EHS committees and engages all employees to take ownership of EHS;
- Use problem solving skills and risk assessments during investigations into the root cause of injuries, events, or near misses. Ensures appropriate actions are taken to correct and prevent recurrence of unsafe conditions and/or behaviors;
- Supports pollution prevention and sustainability project identification and execution;
- Uses common EHS tools and platforms (Gensuite) to meet corporate reporting requirements and enhance employee engagement and commitment;
- Participate actively with the EHS team and organization’s leadership to establish policies and directions to achieve leadership within the EHS program;
- Support implementation of the EHS program within the scope of associated contracts, responsible for compliance with all applicable EHS and corporate management standards;
- Ensures that all applicable internal and external reporting requirements are performed accurately and in a timely manner;
- Remains current with all applicable regulations and company policies, and advises EHS Lead and leadership in EHS-related programmatic change recommendations or requirements;
- Focuses on continuous improvement of EHS programs in processes, systems, and products;
- Works with stakeholders in the organization during space planning, building expansions and/or other changes in facilities or work areas to ensure EHS requirements and regulations are met;
- Conducts workplace surveys, safety audits and assessments. Advises EHS Lead and management of conditions requiring corrective action;
- Provides/supports EHS briefings and training sessions as appropriate to fulfill regulatory requirements and foster a safe working environment;
- Conducts job hazard assessments to identify and mitigate hazards in the workplace;
- Actively participate in the local safety committee and engages all employees to take ownership of EHS;
- Supports pollution prevention and sustainability project identification and execution;
- Supports and guides accident investigations to determine thorough root cause and produces and maintains necessary documentation and permits;
- Maintains required site permits and licenses;
- Establishes and maintains necessary contacts with site, local, provincial, federal regulatory agencies;
- Maintains required records in accordance with regulatory and L3Harris requirements;
- Work is performed in multiple locations and environments to include offices, laboratories, manufacturing areas, hangars, flight lines, and customer location support;
