**Role**:
The Shipper is responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of materials from the yard and production holding areas to client contracted trucks. The Shipper is the last person to “touch” the product before it leaves the facility and as such has an overseer whole to ensure that the shipment is correct, the product is properly packaged and labeled and there is no visible damage to the product. This role reduces costs by minimizing the handling of finished goods, while safely and efficiently loading trucks for shipment.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Perform General Housekeeping, separate garbage and recycling into appropriate containers

2. Empty garbage & recycling containers into yard dumpsters and remove garbage & recycling dumpsters from plant

3. Remove snow from yard, driveways and sidewalks

4. Transport starter tube to plant

5. Transport starter tube to storage

6. Ensure packaging is free of damage; identify mislabeled or unsafely packaged shipments; identify packaging non-conformances and confirm shipment is free of damage or defects

7. Identify picking list shortages and clarify order quantities, dates and destinations

8. Load shipments

9. Sign for any product loaded and picked

10. Confirm security of load

11. Notify Quality Control of all damaged goods

12. Complete inventory adjustment sheet

13. Pick any reels that have fallen over and organize/maintain the yard

14. Shrink wrap loose commodity

15. Move packaged coils, reels and sticks to storage yard from plant

16. Transport production equipment to the plant

17. Conduct and document a “Pre-Use Inspection” on forklifts

18. Notify EH & S of any accidents or safety violations

**Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
