Housekeeping Aide

We are looking for a permanent, part-time (0.49 FTE) **Housekeeping Aide**to join our Columbia Garden Village team in **Invermere**, **BC**. If you are a strong team player, then we would like to hear from you

**We are looking for someone who will**:

- Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning rooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, preparing cleaning solution, replenishing supplies; and cleaning, disinfecting and storing housekeeping equipment;
- Assist with laundry as needed.
- Operate in a safe manner and report any present or potential health and safety hazards to Manager;
- Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
- Complete required documentation;
- Acts as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences;
- Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements include**:

- Effective communication and organizational skills;
- Energetic, focused, and enthusiastic person;
- Accountability for the general sanitation of the building;
- Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
- Grade 10 education or equivalent;
- Can provide a negative TB Screening test;
- Can provide a complete Immunization Record as outlined in the BC Centre for Disease Control for Health Care workers;
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.

**What we offer you**

Compensation: The $24.34 per hour start rate for this position currently falls under provincial wage levelling.
