To provide best support to people the incumbent must develop strong, respectful and positive relationships with the persons supported, family members, a broad range of community organizations, as well as all Mainstream employees.

**Qualifications & Key Requirements**:
College Diploma or University Degree or Equivalent experience

Must have a valid Driver’s License (G) and a reliable vehicle; Auto Insurance (with a $1,000,000 liability coverage and a permission to carry non-paying passengers).

Must have a police clearance (with vulnerable sector screening).

Must have a valid First Aid, CPR.

CPI/NVCI certificate is an asset.

Bi-lingual in both French and English is an asset.

Be available for a minimum of 24 hours per pay period (these shifts can be call-in’s or placed on schedule).

Be available to work one weekend per pay period if required.

Relevant working experience supporting people with a Developmental Disability is an asset.

Please note that the selection process will be person centered and utilize matching tools to ensure that employees are well matched to the people they will be supporting, the program, the team and the organization. The selection process will also require you to demonstrate your skills in providing person centered supports and connecting to the community through written exercises, interview questions and hands on activities.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $24.55-$25.90 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- St. Catharines, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- working in the social service field: 1 year (required)
- Working with persons with developmental disabilities: 1 year (required)

- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate (preferred)
- N95 Mask Fit Testing (preferred)
- Class G Driver's License (required)
- CPR First Aid Certificate (required)

Work Location: In person
