Hybrid. 3 days a week in the midtown Toronto office.

At least 1 year experience. Will consider new graduates.

You will be expected to assist lawyers with administrative matters including but not limited to intake, scheduling, managing file deadlines & tasks, as well as with legal matters.

This is an ideal position for someone seeking to learn the practice of Tax law from the bottom up.

**Major Responsibilities**

**Administrative matters**:
Including but not limited to:

- Managing client intake, scheduling and billing...
- Preparing retainers
- Preparing CRA authorizations
- Scheduling meetings
- Assisting with hiring practices
- Employee intake
- Random office management tasks

**Providing support to lawyers. ASSIST WITH**:

- Preparing affidavits, requests, motions
- Preparing reports, evidence, and supporting documentation
- Case law research
- Communicating with clients, parties, and tribunals & courts
- Small claims
- Maintaining CRM - update phone calls, requests, meeting notes, etc.
- Responding to federal and provincial audits on behalf of clients
- Preparing notices of objection and written representations to the Canada Revenue Agency
- Managing CRA Collections
- Corporate and business law matters...

**Mandatory Qualifications**:

- Interest in Tax Law
- Attention to detail and organized & punctual
- Strong research and analytical skills
- An understanding of applicable laws OR eagerness to learn same
- Strong computer and writing skills
- Effective use of Microsoft Office & Adobe
- Sense of urgency & accountability
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Genuine interest in successfully resolving client matters
- Easygoing personality

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year

Additional pay:
