Bayshore is looking for enthusiastic and caring people to join our amazing team as we continue our 50+ year tradition of providing high-quality care to our community. We are offering paid education and practical training spanning over a minimum of 8 weeks. The education will be Monday - Friday in our branch office in Cornwall. The first part of your journey as a Bayshore employee will be receiving theoretical education. Following classroom education, you will be placed with a skilled preceptor to complete your practical training. You will learn the fundamentals to become a Home Support Worker. During your education you will have continuous access to a Bayshore Clinical Educator. Upon completion of the employer-specific training you will start working immediately with Bayshore clients, in the community.

Areas of work are: Russell County, Prescott County & Dundas County.

No prior healthcare experience required.

No healthcare certificate or prior experience is required but considered an asset.

Other experience that prepares you for HSW Training
- housekeeping, hospitality, dietary aide, companionship, foreign trained caregiver, informal care giving experience.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living.
- Complete tasks such as skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel, and bladder care
- Help clients with comfortable positioning, lifts, transfers, and light exercising like assisted walking
- General household management including light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
- Lead caring and meaningful conversations and activities focused on client emotional health
- Use Infection Prevention & Control Practices, protective equipment to keep you and your client safe

Foster a safe and comfortable environment for clients, promoting their independence and wellbeing. Build a strong rapport and trust with client and their families through compassionate and attentive care. Maintain accurate records of client care activities and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

You are available to attend minimum 8 weeks paid training Monday - Friday 9am
- 4pm
