We are a local moving company looking to hiring a motivated individual for residential moving who can work well in a team environment as well as independently.

*This job requires heavy and repetitive lifting.

Please note any past professional moving experience or if you hold a valid drivers licence, although it is not required.

Benefits available after 3 months.

Starting wage is determined by experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely and effectively move household/office furniture by using proper moving equipment and following company protocols
- Wrap furniture in protective material
- Load and unload items with care
- Ensure that no items are damaged while moving
- Disassembling and reassembling furniture
- Place furniture in the requested positions at the new location
- Assist with organizing and securing truck at the end of each job
- Assist driver with backing up or manoeuvring the truck in tight situations

**Qualifications**
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education preferred
- Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds on a regular basis and operate moving equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required
- Ability to work independently and/or with a team, exercise good judgment and sound decision-making required

**Job Requirements**
- Ability to communicate in an effective, helpful and friendly manner with co-workers and customers
- Must have the ability to listen and take instruction from driver/trainer regarding customer service and moving techniques
- All employees must be in a clean, approved uniform at all times
- All employees must maintain a positive company image by ensuring proper hygiene
- Physical Demands: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, reach with hands and arms; frequently required to climb or balance, talk or hear; and occasionally required to stop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to walk forward, backward, side to side, and/or up and down stairs while carrying furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving parts, outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat or cold weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
