**What you offer**:

- Lumber sales experience is an asset but not required
- Hold a valid Canadian Passport
- Must be able to travel within all territories of British Columbia and Alberta
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment
- Computer literate - use of Excel and Microsoft Word
- Interpersonal skills are a must
- Understanding of sawmill operations and familiarity with lumber grades and sizes is an asset

**Job responsibilities and success factors**:

- **Develop new and current relationships with our customers and suppliers**
- Work closely with our local sales representative where required
- Prepare various internal paperwork, processing orders, etc.
- Ensure maximum sales revenues are obtained
- Attend periodic meetings and trade shows, as required
- Maintain working knowledge of all features and all products sold
- Strategic Account and Business Development in all areas is primary focus, including A&D and End Users calls
- Provide customers with relevant product information and service

DSL was incorporated in 1974 with a vision to supply quality lumber products to our customers throughout the central and Northern British Columbia. We employ over 40 people and can provide our customers with a variety of specialty products.

Our Lumber Mill has gone through some impressive changes. Our mill was originally designed to produce Kiln sticks and lath but with several upgrades to our plant process we now have the ability to custom manufacture a variety of wood products according to our customers’ needs and specifications.

**Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.**

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

- PRINCE GEORGE, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Lumber Sales: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
