The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

- Ensure the accuracy of inventory data in the system in real time and in the right place.
- Carry out the logistics plan for the plant you are responsible for.
- Ensure the accuracy and rigour of the dates recorded on delivery.
- Engage and develop all your employees
- Ensure quality targets are met

**Responsible**
- Coordinate and plan shipping activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Effectively manage raw material shipping and receiving operations.
- Ensure cooperation among production and logistics partners.
- Ensure optimized warehousing.
- Post goods issue to produce invoices based on business rules.
- Implement a cyclical count process based on business rules.
- Plan the daily movements of finished products in the satellite warehouses.
- Communicate with Customer Service in the event of production delays.
- Monitor the alignment between production and your inventory to report any delivery delays to Customer Service and COE Logistics.
- Optimize trailer⁄transport loading, in collaboration with customers.
- Ensure SOP (standard operating procedures) are understood and applied
- Validate the creation of transportation costs and the transfer of costs to Accounting for accounts payable in the system (if outside 4 PL).
- Ensure daily monitoring (checklist: SOP_WM) and act accordingly.
- Support teams in problem solving
- Support your scheduler in establishing the optimal sequence for product production within the time frame established on the basis of business rules
- Ensure the management of transactions in the computerized operations management system in accordance with business rules
- Confirm and resolve anomalies in the computerized operations management system
- Carry out workforce planning and ensure approval of hours worked
- Ensure training coordination (upon hiring and on an ongoing basis)
- Ensure constant communication with employees (floor rounds, logbooks, etc.)
- Coordinate follow-up meetings to ensure targets are met and employees are held accountable
- Carry out monthly OHS audits as well as accident investigations and analyses
- Monitor OHS improvements and adjustments
- Address target shortfalls (KPIs) and coordinate applicable action plans
- Experiences and strengths- Professional degree in logistics or a relevant discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Warehouse supervision experience in the manufacturing sector
- Leadership to cultivate a culture of OHS accountability.
- Knowledge of SAP software or other ERP (an asset).
- Agility needed to work with various technological tools.
- Familiarity with various logistics issues.
- Leadership and expertise in promoting buy-in to proposed solutions and rallying their team around objectives.
- Ability to communicate effectively & strong listening skills to quickly understand needs and issues
- Autonomy, strong sense of responsibility, and strong personal and professional ethics.
- Rigour and agility to handle projects based on their scope, budget and timelines.
- Collaborative spirit needed to work closely with all team members.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing (an asset)
- Ability to solve problems and prioritize daily tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to act and react quickly while working on a number of files at the same time
- Sound judgment and the courage to make the necessary decisions
