We are looking for an **_Associate Manager, Technology Audit_** to join our high-performance team.
The Technology Audit Associate Manger is responsible for effective delivery of a portfolio of audits for Canada Life. Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit Technology, you will support a team of Audit Professionals in executing detailed audit plans, that identify potential areas of risk by assessing the adequacy of internal controls, determining compliance with government regulations and internal policies and procedures, evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of operations, and identifying improvement opportunities and working with business partners to ensure appropriate risk mitigation. As part of a team committed to innovation, you will take part in establishing new ways of working, such as agile auditing techniques and data analytics, to deliver high quality impactful audits.
**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Director of Technology Audit, the Associate Manager will support the achievement of Internal Audit’s vision _to provide bold insights for a company that delivers on its promises to customers, by_:
- Carrying out audit planning, test program development, execution, and reporting, including:
- Identifying risk and assessing control adequacy
- Recommending appropriate strategies to optimize risks, benefits, and quality
- Performing data analytics by defining problem statements, identifying relevant datasets, and leveraging data analytics tools available to derive insights
- Developing high-quality reports and presentations suitable for a range of stakeholders
- Managing time budgets for assigned audits and communicating status.
- Leading and/or participating in professional practice and improvement initiatives.
- Creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Cultivating business relationships and working collaboratively with other functional areas.
**What you will bring**:
- University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience auditing systems processes, risk management and control practices, with a minimum of 3 years of technology audit
- Knowledge of IT Governance frameworks (i.e.: COBIT, ITIL, NIST, CIS, OSFI Self-Assessment, ISO 2700x) is required
- In-depth hands-on technical knowledge of SAP, ERPs, Cloud, Networking, Mainframe, Unix, and Windows environments is an asset
- Working towards CISA certification is required. CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CIA, CPA, CA, CGA or CMA designations are considered assets
- Familiarity with use of data analytics is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a large international team
- Ability to work with mínimal oversight
- Excellent time management skills
- Limited travel may be required

Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Toronto, London, or Winnipeg._**
The base salary for this position is between **$63,500****:
- $ 117,400** annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
