**Class 1 Driver for Feed Mill** The Rossdown Feed Mill creates chicken feed for our local farms located throughout the Fraser Valley. The Feed Mill Driver will be responsible for transporting feed to these barns throughout the day, making multiple trips to and from the Farms/Feed Mill. We are looking for a Driver who possesses drive and initiative, and willing to help at the Mill when not driving. - **Key Responsibilities**:_ - Check all delivery documents prior to unloading feed to ensure the barn, bin number(s), and feed are correct. Follow any special instructions as outlined by Mill Staff. Always contact the mill for further directions or if a bin fills. - Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and loaded, ensuring safety and road worthiness - Act as a “liaison" between the farm/barn and the feed mill. (Back and forth delivering feed throughout the day) - Have a good understanding of the feed plant load out systems. - Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours, occupational health and safety. - Preform pre-trip vehicle inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order. - Feed deliveries should be completed in a timely manner to help avoid production delays at the mill. - Complete all loading/delivery documentation at the end of every shift and submit to the mill manager. - Wash/Disinfect equipment (truck and trailer) as required or as directed by the Mill Manager. - Perform various other duties as required. - **Key Experience and Character**:_ - Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies - Reliable transportation - Class 1 driver's license - Experience loading, securing and transporting various types of equipment - Work overtime as required - Able to handle pressure - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a stressful environment - Must be able to conduct yourself in a responsible, professional manner always when dealing with others. - **Benefits**_ - Competitive Wages - MSP at 3 Months & Benefits at 6 Months - Steel toed boots reimbursements - 2 Weeks’ Vacation - Pension plan after 1 year of service (Equal Contribution from Rossdown) - Multiple Employee Assistance Programs - Employee Events - Great deals on Fresh Organic Chicken - Family Culture/ Family Environment **Salary**: $25.00-$27.00 per hour Ability to commute/relocate: - Langley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Licence/Certification: - Class 1 Licence (required) Work Location: In person
