At several campuses of care and other service locations across the Greater Toronto Area, Yee Hong offers a full continuum of services including active seniors programs, adult day programs, caregiver support services, transportation, meals on wheels, congregate dining, home care, long-term care, and hospice/palliative care.

In their living setting of choice, seniors and their families are supported to optimize their physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Yee Hong also supports other organizations with innovating seniors care through its advisory services, training and learning centre, and research. **Job: Food Services Worker**

**Status: Casual Part Time**

**Core Function**:

- Responsible for the delivery of meals, portioning and serving dessert, dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing of cooking equipment, pots, pan and small dishware as well as general and special cleaning in the kitchen in accordance with government and organization policies and standards

**Qualifications**:

- Current student enrolled in an educational program recognized by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
- Successful completion of, or is currently enrolled in a recognized Food Service Worker Program strongly preferred
- Current Food Handler Safety Certificate
- Some experience in food services industry
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
- Ability to communicate in Chinese or a South Asian language an asset
- Relevant satisfactory work performance

**Working Condition**:

- Considerable standing, walking and lifting throughout the day
- Exposure to all resident care elements through occasional resident contact
- Shift work, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Exposed to noise, high temperature and moisture while working in the dish room and pot washing area
