Slitter Operator

**Slitter Operator - Etobicoke, ON**

Location: Etobicoke, ON

Major Intersection: Guided Ct & Royalcrest Rd

Working days: Monday - Friday

Shift timing: Morning

Pay Rate: $24

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct daily inspections of slitter machine at the beginning of each shift
- Assist line operators in completing machine set-ups
- Use lifting equipment to move the correct material to the production line for each scheduled order
- Operate the production line
- Assist in packaging material according to order specifications
- Participate in daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe
- Work in a safe manner at all times, adhering to company policies

**Job Requirements**
- Must have some experience as a Slitter Operator
- Minimum 1-2 years of manufacturing experience (Steel manufacturing is an asset)
- Must be able to read imperial/metric measuring tape
- Good verbal communication skills
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Overhead Crane experience is an asset
- Be a team player and able to work well with others on the job

**Salary**: $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Etobicoke, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Slitter Operator: 1 year (required)
- steel manufacturing: 2 years (required)

Work Location: In person
