Reporting to the Retirement Manager, the Receptionist/Screener is responsible for providing a warm, professional, and approachable receptionist service, screening of staff and visitors, and accurate and efficient documentation and computer data entry on an ongoing basis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the reception area of a 65-bed assisted and independent living retirement home
- Handle incoming calls, greet visitors, book tours, and schedule meetings
- Provide administrative support to the Retirement Manager and the extended management team
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail and dealing with deliveries
- Answer questions from residents and visitors with a high degree of professionalism and cheerfulness
- Assist in billings and trust account administration as required
- Ensure proper screening of visitors and staff
- Filing, photocopying, and general reception area housekeeping
- Assist with general questions, paperwork and other duties as assigned
- Maintain established departmental and organizational policies and procedures regarding such things as continuous quality improvement, emergency protocol, occupational health and safety
- Collaboratively support receptionist team and provide back up to cover off receptionist absences as required
- Prepare admission and tour packages for new admissions and prospective residents
- Prepare monthly audit forms and distribute as required
- Maintain bulletin boards on the information highway
- Perform any clerical duties as assigned by management

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-Secondary education in Business/Administrative Assistant and/or Receptionist
- Minimum 2 years experience Reception or Administrative Assistant
- Not for Profit working experience preferred
- Healthcare and/or Housing experience preferred
- Positive and Professional
- Customer Service
- Time Management & Multi-tasking
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Literacy
- Strong Written & Oral Communication
- Document and Record Control
- Problem Solving & Accuracy
- Planning & organizing
