The Cottage is one of two independently owned, successful, “landmark” community Restaurant/Pubs. With our sister restaurant, The Stone Lion, we are all about great food and drink. It’s a busy place where folks can relax in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

What you will do in this role:

- Focus on guest satisfaction
- Coach service team on increasing sales and product knowledge
- Schedule all service staff while ensuring labor and cost targets are met
- Communicate and liaison with the sister location to share and ensure best practices
- Help develop and execute of front-line training and skill development program
- Communicate and help implement in-house marketing and promotional programs
- Ensure the restaurant adheres to all legislative and government guidelines (i.e. proper and safe food and beverage service, Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, etc.)

What we are looking for:

- Post-secondary education, preferably in hospitality and/or a business related field is not required, but is respected
- Knowledge of general restaurant operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and direct others
