The role of the **Change and Transformation Communication Manager** plays a critical role in working with key stakeholders and ensuring the success of AMS’ strategic business transformation and change programmes and projects.
In this role you will work closely with project managers, owners and teams to ensure the execution of a change management strategy for each programme, enabling key strategic objectives to be delivered.
The Strategic Communications, Change and Cultural Experiences function sits within the People and Culture organisation and it is responsible for the communication and business enablement of AMS’s vision, mission and strategic priorities, the tone of voice of the CEO and the Executive Committee. It is also responsible for the Recognition/Appreciate program and channel management.
The Change and Transformation Communication team’s success is closely associated with close working relationships with the Head of EPMO and their team. The AMS Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is a central, global function which oversees and supports project management activities including the central planning, control, dependency management and executive reporting of key strategic business transformation and change projects and programmes of work across AMS, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
**Key Accountabilities**:
**What you will do**:
- Play a key role in developing and maintaining an AMS EPMO change management toolkit, continuing to evolve and improve our approach to change and communications management
- Assess change impact and develop targeted communication strategies for the delivery of effective change interventions on strategic projects
- Own the change and communications management workstream in a project, providing the project manager/owner with clear change and communication activities and deliverables, for inclusion into the overall project plan
- Identify risks and issues associated with change adoption and provide mitigation plans to the project manager/owner
- Create detailed communication plans in conjunction with the corporate strategic priorities/vision/mission, internal communications, the EPMO, project owners and using stakeholder maps and resistance management plans, aligned to the change impact assessment for the strategic project
- Responsible for defining and creation of change collateral for communication purposes on strategic programmes
- Enable design, development and delivery of communications
- Evaluate readiness for the change and provide input into the design and delivery of training
- Coach project and operational teams in effective change management techniques
- Define change metrics and measure success of the change
**Skills & Experience**:
**Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
- 6-8 years of experience in the area of change management, experience in internal communication area would be an additional asset
- Exposure to large scale organizational change programmes
- Exceptional communication skills - copy writing, editing, presentation delivery
- Experience preparing content for and presenting to a range of stakeholders, including c-suite level
- Experience of working with and influencing senior leadership and stakeholders/clients
- A natural curiosity and exceptional attention to detail
- Resilient and tenacious, with an ability to navigate uncertainty
- The ability to network and form effective relationships within matrix project teams, ensuring their own knowledge of all aspects of the change being implemented is complete
- Experience in managing change initiatives and overcoming resistance to change
- Knowledge of change approaches and methodologies
**Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
- Experience of working within operations and enabling functions within a large global matrixed organisation
- Relevant change management qualifications (e.g. PROSCI ADKAR) and/or experience of working within a change management role, utilising a structured change management approach
- Experience delivering consulting engagements
- Experience of project delivery methodologies and toolkits
