We currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Temporary Part Time** **Project Coordinator, Accreditation **to join our Quality & Patient Safety Department for approximately 18 months.

**Hours of work**:15 hours per week (e.g. two out of five days per week)

**Responsibilities**:

- To conduct gap analysis, identify opportunities for improved compliance with Accreditation Canada standards and requirements, and develop strategies to mitigate gaps to recommend action plans for senior leadership decision-making
- Develop strategies to meet and exceed Accreditation Canada standards (e.g. risk management, patient safety, ethics, quality improvement program)
- Conduct gap analysis to identify opportunities to improve compliance with professional standards, policies and processes, and clinical and operational approaches; recommend action plans to close gaps for senior leadership decision making
- Coordinate and prepare for work of Accreditation Canada surveyors; coordinate accreditation activities with Accreditation Canada
- Develop and propose recommendations to improve compliance and meet or exceed Accreditation Canada requirements for SMT approval
- Audit and analyze policies, processes, professional standards, and patient safety requirements for evidence-based decision-making
- Influence how to close gaps in professional practices, policy and process compliance, and other Accreditation Canada requirements in collaboration with clinical and operational leadership teams; develop proposals for implementation for Accreditation Committee approval
- Lead accreditation projects in collaboration with Program Directors (i.e. project sponsors), leadership teams, and required organizational practice (ROP) leaders
- Lead teams for Accreditation Canada standards (Required Organizational Practices)
- Ensure organizational alignment with Professional standards arising from regulatory colleges for regulated health professionals and other regulated professionals
- Ensure organizational alignment with reporting requirements and legislation set out by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC)
- Ensure organizational alignment with Union collective agreements
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Occupational Health & Safety Act (OH&A), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Freedom of Information and Personal Privacy Act (FIPPA), Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
- Update corporate operational policies and procedures in partnership with departmental administrative and physician leaders

**Requirements**:

- Masters degree in Health Administration or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading acute care operations and extension knowledge of hospital operation
- Experience with leading audit programs and physician education programs
- Experience leading complex organization wide projects with proven successful internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to work with all levels of management including Program Directors, Senior Management Team and Chiefs of Services
- Knowledge and applied experience in Patient safety, patient experience, quality and risk, FMEAs, and project leadership
- Tact and diplomacy, negotiation, consultation, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem solving, analysis, organization, detail minded
- Advance MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) skills
