Overview:
This position can report to either the Fort Erie or Milton office. Responsible for the preparation and submission of Import clearance documentation for all modes of transport to Canada Customs on behalf of clients by performing the following essential duties:

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES **include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.
Preparing and processing Import shipments for clearance to CBSA electronically for all modes of transport, which includes but not limited to ocean, air, truck and rail all while adhering to compliance.
Receive, review, track and trace on a daily basis. Arranging payment of charges and delivery when required by client.
Determining classification of Import products for release with CBSA as well as determining the valuation, OGD regulations or possible permits required prior to release and with adherence to all laws and regulations of Canada Customs and all other government departments.
Responding to all Clients and Customers in a timely, efficient, courteous and professional manner while adhering to all company policies and regulations.
Required to work some holidays - on a rotating schedule
Qualifications:
**QUALIFICATIONS **To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
Minimum 3 year Customs Release and/or Import experience. Knowledge of H.S. Classifications, USMCA/CUSMA, Free trade agreements, CFIA, Health Canada and all other government department regulations. CCS certification preferred but not mandatory.
**LANGUAGE SKILLS**
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and must be able to interact effectively with both internal and external clients.
**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**
Ability to calculate costs and be able to determine value for duty, including any discounts, additions/deductions or transportation costs included. Familiar with CBSA valuation regulations.
**REASONING ABILITY**
**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
Strong Computer skills
Familiar with Microsoft office
Strong organizational skills.
