**Overview**
**Duties**
- Assist the head chef in meal preparation and cooking, ensuring timely service of high-quality dishes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Help manage inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and work areas.
- Support front-of-house staff during peak service times to ensure guest satisfaction.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
