Procurement Manager

**POSITION**:Procurement Manager **REPORTS TO**:Director of Procurement

We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Operations team This role is primarily responsible for sourcing products domestically and globally to meet forecasted supply needs.

**EXPERIENCE**
- You have 3-5+ years sourcing/buying experience, including negotiating and purchasing of food ingredients (especially in the organic / natural bakery ingredients sector)
- You have a BS/BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain and/or Finance or a related major an asset. MBA and/or Supply Chain related certifications are a plus

**NICE-TO-HAVE**

**THINGS YOU WILL DO**
- Manage the Procurement team which consists of a combination of Senior Buyer, Co-pack Buyer and Junior Buyer.
- Develop and utilize commodity knowledge to support business objectives
- Maintain a close relationship with TOP 25 Vendors alongside assigned Buyer including development of new relationships with potential suppliers
- Generate Reporting such as: Risk Mitigation, Inventory Shortage Run outs, Inventory Levels, Unit Price Reports
- and providing all analytical data to support contract negotiations for purchasing
- Ensure no stock outs and minimizing inventory levels through following best practices for inventory purchasing
- Source food ingredient products domestically and globally to meet forecasted supply needs
- Ensure quality of materials, competitive pricing, adherence to company policies and procurement processes
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and brokers to ensure pricing, quality and to ensure we have sufficient supply to meet forecasted demand
- Savings on raw materials and logistics through analyzing business opportunities compared to the current practices
- Evaluate the process of raw material purchases for our facilities at a competitive cost ensuring items are purchased in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Generate and track service supplier performance
- Promote Process Improvement to adapt to the company’s needs and growth
- Review, Generate and Maintain Procurement SOPs

- Must be able to travel as needed
