Weekend Manager

Ice Patch Hollow Indoor Playground is currently seeking a Weekend Manager to manage the weekend team. The job requirements would be both Saturdays and Sundays permanently, no exception. Other shifts during the weekday from time to time may be available if that is of interest, but this position is for dedicated weekends.

We are looking for a team Manager who is customer focused, able to keep their head up in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment and who understand the importance of an amazing family experience when visiting our playground
Reporting directly to the Owner the manager will be responsible for organizing and ensuring that the business runs smoothly and everything is cared and look after.

Responsibilities will include:

- Taking responsibility for every weekend (non negotiable) to ensure that parties run smoothly and team members are working efficiently.
- Staff scheduling of weekend employees and being accountable for getting shifts covered due to illnesses or absences.
- greeting guests in a timely fashion, determining their needs and taking their payments for admissions and snack bar items.
- ensuring parties run smoothly and that party rooms are properly cleaned in anticipation of the next parties scheduled.
- ensuring that the snack bar area is kept clean and organized and that stock is replenished as needed.
- checking in with guests regarding their experience
- explaining and enforcing the playground rules for all areas to our guests.
- ensuring that all areas of Ice Patch Hollow are kept clean and tidy.
- 3 years of experience working in a customer service position, retail (food, coffee or entertainment industry preferred), daycare or similar experience working with children.
- 2 years or more of experience in a supervisorial or management type role.
- Completion of or enrollment in an approved college diploma program in early childhood education (ECE) would be beneficial.
- Certifications in First aid, Food handling, WHMIS, and CPR would also be an asset.
- Experience working with a POS system and cash till would be an asset
