**Business Development Representative - Remote (Canada)**

Engineered Intelligence Inc. is looking for a **Business Development Representative** (one opening) ideally with lead generation experience in the utility industry. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Business Development Team, helping drive the revenue pipeline for ENGIN and engage in meaningful relationships with clients.

**Our Business**: Engineered Intelligence Inc. (EII) is a power infrastructure technology company with headquarters in Calgary and offices in Toronto. We built a cloud-based software product, ENGIN, that is focused on helping our clients manage their transmission and distribution assets. ENGIN, enables our clients to monitor and maintain the condition of their assets and networks. ENGIN, is analytics-driven, with machine learning workloads and a vision of AI assisted planning.

With our intensive knowledge of grid-level assets, we provide our clients with the white glove experience. From software implementation, maintenance, and assistance with regulatory matters to ensure their grids are managed safely and with optimal cost efficiency.

- 3+ years of experience in business development at a top engineering technology or other market leading company.
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical specialization (business, applied sciences, engineering, information technology)
- Business development experience in the utility or engineering technology industries.
- Effective networking and relationship management skills, with existing working relationships at power delivery utilities
- Motivation to grow our business.
- Team player with the ability to operate independently and take initiative.

- Work experience in electrical power system planning as a utility or consultant.

**Role/Responsibilities**:

- Market Research: Conduct thorough research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify potential leads, including researching target accounts, mapping organizations, and identifying key contacts through online tools like LinkedIn.
- Qualifying Leads: Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure they fit the company's ideal customer profile before passing them on to the sales team and ensuring they meet required lead generation targets.
- CRM Management: Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems with accurate and detailed information on leads and customer interactions.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings and demonstrations for the sales team with qualified prospects.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services to effectively communicate their value propositions to potential customers, and stay educated on new and emerging technologies, patterns, methodologies, and market offerings.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and campaigns to reach target goals, including active participation in the preparation and execution of sales plans, events, and campaigns.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on lead generation activities, sales pipeline status, and performance metrics to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with potential customers through various communication channels to build relationships and nurture leads until they are ready to make a purchase decision, and actively participate throughout the implementation phase with each new customer.
- Feedback Loop: Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams based on interactions with prospects and customers to help refine marketing strategies and product offerings, and understand the strategic direction set by senior management to support account planning.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with sales and development teams to determine customer requirements and expectations, and to scale the company’s sales organ
