Job Summary:
A junior installer is responsible to assist the Site Foreman and crew to complete on-site work as assigned. Site work includes residential and light commercial roofing projects that are new build or renovation/retrofit in all types of roofing materials. The junior installer is required to have 1 to 3 years of experience installing any one or all of the following types of roof materials?
- asphalt shingles
- standing seam steel
- exposed fastener steel panels
- cedar shakes/shingles
- composite rubber panels
- TPO and/or EPDM

Day-to-day tasks that are to be handled in this position include:

- Daily check of service truck to ensure proper tools and supplies are readily available.
- Assist with loading, unloading projects
- Setup and removal of ground cover and site protections for re-roofing projects.
- Removal of waste and cleanup of the work area.
- Loading of tools and materials to the work area.
- Reviewing site conditions daily, participate in a meeting with team members to discuss safety and daily production
- Daily tracking of materials and supplies used to be reported to the Site Supervisor
- Participate in regular meetings with the site foreman and the operations manager with respect to safety, production, performance and professional development

Qualifications and Skills:

- Experience working as a roof installer for a minimum of one year
- Able to perform heavy lifting and manual labor throughout the workday
- Must be coachable, trainable, and able to take direction from site foreman and other members of the crew
- Willingness to learn and grow in the installation field
- Working at Heights, WHMIS and H&SA for workers
- Take pride in work and be able to own a job or task through to completion

This position offers an opportunity hands-on experience in roof installation projects, working alongside experienced and seasoned installers to develop valuable skills in the industry.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
