BCIT’s **School of Computing and Academic Studies** is seeking a** temporary, part-time (0.8**FTE**) Faculty, Full-Stack Web Development.**

In BCIT’s Computer Systems Technology department, you will use your experience, your training, your passion for technology and your passion for teaching and mentoring to help our students learn to turn big challenges into new solutions.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Applicants with skills and industry expertise in **one or more** of the following areas will be given preference:

- Front and Back End Development (Javascript, Node.js, Vue.js)
- Expertise in one or more modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
- Database Design and Implementation (Relational and NoSQL-based)
- Architecting Web Applications at Scale
- UX/UI Design and Development
- Project Management and Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)

**Qualifications**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum three years of current and relevant industry experience.
- Minimum related Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience teaching topics in computing in a post-secondary education environment is preferred.
- A passion for teaching computing.
- Online teaching experience considered an asset.

**Salary Range**
- Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.

**Additional Salary Information**
- Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
