**Some of what you will do**:
This role will drive analytical leadership within the company and enable data-based decision making to help Staples Canada become a leading data-driven organization. The individual will lead the Supply Chain Analytics practice as part of the Enterprise Analytics & Data Science team. Our multi-tenant cloud platforms power our analytics and ML/AI capabilities and we’re looking for an active hands-on contributor to play a central role in helping our teams understand performance and impact of their strategies. Additionally, the role will be continuously challenged to bring forward valuable insights to help their stakeholders make better and more informed decisions.

We’re on a transformation journey and this role will be a key enabler in accelerating our Supply Chain analytics practice. In addition to having direct impact over Supply Chain, this role will work closely with various stakeholders and have the opportunity to build deep insights across the customer journey - extending to assortment, sourcing, demand generation and our B2B functions.

**Specifically, You Will**:
Supply Chain Performance Analysis:

- Establish and enhance current OKRs to deliver insights and execute on a customer first data-driven strategy.
- Lead the analysis and evaluation of supply chain performance metrics, including inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation, and warehouse operations
- Develop and implement performance tracking mechanisms to monitor key supply chain KPIs
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies within the supply chain network
- Determine business needs and the right KPIs for new projects/enhancements and deliver a crisp narrative on its outcome post-launch
- Delivery of the Functional Analytics Roadmap:

- Build and execute on the roadmap to deliver reporting & impactful insights to internal partners.
- Develop and maintain suite of reporting tools, with a self-serve enablement focus, for both performance and operational needs and provide actionable insights and performance updates to key partners
- Design and deliver regular reports and presentations on supply chain analytics findings, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks
- Collaborate with IT and Analytics Engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for analytics purposes
- Deliver a common reporting service layer between various back end and front-end data across all BUs enabling streamlined self-serve reporting
- Establish analytical standards and best practices to be leveraged across the company’s ecosystem
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Thought Leadership:

- Drive, mentor, and motivate the organization to focus on continuous analytics excellence and the delivery of information and insights
- Partner with Data Science team to utilize advanced analytics techniques, such as optimization models, simulation, and predictive analytics, to optimize supply chain network design, transportation routing, and capacity planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure effective execution of supply chain optimization initiatives
- Work with various Supply Chain teams to identify opportunities to improve supply chain resilience, reduce lead times, and enhance supplier performance through data-driven insights
- Team Leadership & Development:

- Mentor team to be a best-in class analytics function
- Motivate, mentor, and ensure your direct team has the right tools, processes, and principles in place to deliver work that is on time and support partner needs
- Lead a continuous learning environment with respect to utilizing the latest methodologies, technologies, and illustrative best practices to tell stories which can drive business decisions
- Develop a culture where individuals and leaders are motivated, with an ownership mindset, that enable each other to be better every day, and extend that support to the wider organization
