Are you passionate about precision, custom design, and high-end residential millwork? Soma Millwork & Design is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Draftsperson to join our team.

About the Role

As our Draftsperson, you’ll be a key contributor in transforming design concepts into detailed production drawings for custom millwork projects. You’ll work closely with our design and production teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to install.

Create detailed 3D models and shop drawings using TopSolid WoodInterpret architectural plans and design intent to produce accurate millwork drawingsCollaborate with project managers and shop floor staff for manufacturing efficiencyReview and revise drawings as needed through design development and client feedback**Requirements**:
Proficiency with TopSolid Wood (essential)2+ years experience in custom millwork draftingSolid understanding of joinery, cabinetry, and high-end residential millworkAbility to read architectural drawings and translate them into production-ready documentsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyNice to Have

Experience with CNC programming or manufacturing processesBackground in interior design or architectural millworkWhat We Offer

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burnaby, BC V5B 3B1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- CAD: 2 years (required)
- drafting: 4 years (required)
- Top Solid Software: 2 years (required)
