The **Lead Hand** works side by side with our foreman to coordinate and produce complete landscape installations, manage and mentor crews, organize materials, coordinate subcontractors, emphasize safety, and track paperwork. **Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Assist Foreman in all aspects of site and crew management such as time tracking, scheduling, meeting with consultants, safety, coaching and quality assurance
- Work with the foreman to determine requirements for staff, tools, equipment and materials necessary to complete tasks
- Create lists for trucking and organize deliveries
- Teach crew members and assist them to be successful
- Complete site layout and measurements accurately
- Understand the concepts of the various types of landscape construction such as compaction, screeding, slope, irrigation, etc
- Hands on installation of stone walkways, patios, steps, and walls, wood decks, steps, fences, and pergolas
- Read, scale and understand blueprints, and read and interpret survey stakes and data
- Layout grades and points with Rover and use GPS
- Ensure that equipment is properly maintained by performing daily inspections and maintenance
- Report broken tools and equipment and follow the Landform flag out procedure
- Report safety concerns
- Complete paperwork required by Management
- Continuously learn and improve

**Who you are**:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the landscape construction industry
- Machine operating experience for skid steers and mini excavators (500+ HRS)
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
- Safely work around heavy equipment
- Ability to perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions, specifically very cold, icy, snowy weather
- Great time management skills; available for seasonal long hours, a clear schedule to work all hours of the day, any day of the week and a strong work ethic
- Follows all safety rules, policies, and regulations
- Maintain valid First Aid certification
- Have successfully Completed Leadership for Safety Excellence Course

Regular full time shifts are Monday to Friday. Compensation will be based on experience. We look forward to hearing from you

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
