The Slaight Family Centre is a donor funded clinical research program for youth in transition, who are at-risk for, or at early stages of severe mental illness. The main goal of the Slaight Family Centre is to put more young people with severe mental illness on a path to recovery, through the development of new treatments, enhancement of early detection efforts, and clinical brain research.
We are seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst who will provide support to the Slaight Family Centre’s research team, including a study of a text messaging intervention to support young people in the transition from acute to outpatient mental health services, recruiting participants from the Emergency Department, Bridging Clinic, and inpatient units. Reporting to the Slaight Family Centre Research Manager, you will assist in coordinating recruitment for multiple studies and participate in projects as assigned. You will assist the research team on a number of research-related activities for projects as assigned including: supporting centralized recruitment, scheduling and assisting with participant interviews, screening and eligible research participants, extracting information from the electronic health record, maintaining participant research records, data entry and database maintenance and regulatory submissions. You will also assist with preparing progress reports, Power Point presentations and data for presentations and peer-reviewed research papers. Other administrative duties are also required. You will help support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable CAMH policies, as well as all regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 1025 Queen Street. You will be required to work evening hours to facilitate participant recruitment.
**Qualifications**:
**Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.**
**Salary Range**: $25.03 - $33.38 per hour.
**Please Note**:This full-time contract position lasting one (1) year is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.
