Host/hostess

**Overview**

**Duties**
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and menu offerings.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Utilize POS systems for managing reservations and guest information.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in hotel or restaurant settings, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with food service operations and guest services will be advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette to manage incoming calls professionally.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.70 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
