Detailed Function/Job summary

Job Responsibilities
- Underwriting
- Evaluate renewal and new business treaty reinsurance programs as per SCOR guidelines.
- Structure and negotiate appropriate terms and conditions
- Evaluate and negotiate contract wording
- Evaluate and negotiate pricing in conjunction with actuaries
- Refer all issues as required by SCOR guidelines
- Perform underwriting audits at current and potential clients
- Client Management
- Responsibility for overall SCOR relationship with clients
- Market SCOR to insurance companies and reinsurance brokers to obtain suitable business.
- Organize and manage client events
- Reporting and account management
- Inform SCOR Underwriting Management and SCOR Canada management as required of activities, client and portfolio results
- Record all documentation for assigned business as per SCOR Guidelines
- Ensure compliance and document all necessary referrals according to SCOR Guidelines
- A minimum of 5-10 years in the (re)insurance industry: primary/reinsurance underwriting; and/or reinsurance brokerage experience.
- Underwriting education or experience, financial, actuarial, economic, risk management or
- Proven leadership abilities
- Ability to collaborate and deliver in a cross functional team environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Solid negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Bilingual in French would be preferrable
