Regional Sales Manager

Through coaching and education, the Regional Sales Manager supports a team of sales executives in developing the market and increasing sustainable and profitable product sales year over year in their region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Creates and implements a sales plan for aggressively growing revenue in region.
- Trains and coaches Sales Executives in their region.
- Holds Sales Executives accountable for achieving weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs.
- Responsible for overall customer experience within region.
- Enhances relationships with key customer accounts in region
- Collaborates closely with Inside Sales and Customer Experience Manager
- Prepares and presents business reviews of Sales Executives on a quarterly basis
- Responsible for finding or facilitating resolution on complex client issues.
- Builds local market knowledge including competition, trends and opportunities in their region.
- Attends various state, regional and national tradeshows to establish and maintain company presence in the market.
- Supports Sales Executives in educating the region both in person and via webinar through lunch and learns, CEUs, product presentations, etc.
- Reviews complex contracts, requests for proposals (RFP) and specification documents with Sales Executives
- Ensures that Sales Executives are updating CRM information daily
- Actively participates in monthly demand/forecast meetings for each Sales Executive
- Coordinates escalations between contractor and Vortex project management team
- Keeps current on product knowledge and updates
- Collaborates weekly with sales management team
- 50% travel, US and Canada
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Good business acumen and understanding of the mechanics of creating a business plan for sales development in a given territory
- Engaged in providing excellent customer experience
- At ease in a consultative selling environment and sensitive to cultural differences in business
- Strong relationship building skills
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and internal team, both oral and written
- Able to work remotely and collaborate with a team at a distance
- Strong presentation skills and well-developed negotiation skills
- At ease in networking situations
- Ability to align multiple parties who have varied and sometimes competing interests
- Set and manage expectations
- Coaching/Training skills
- Creative thinking skills and well developed problem solving skills
- Flexible mind and ability to grasp moderately complex technical solutions
**Experience and Training**:
- Undergraduate degree in bsiness
- Minimum 5 years in an outside sales role
- 3 years’ experience managing a sales territory
- Experience working in an international business context
- Experience in coaching a team
- Experience selling a technical solution
