Program Coordinator

Hackergal is looking to recruit a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will be an integral part of Hackergal’s Programs Team reporting to the Bilingual Program Manager. Under the Program Manager’s direction and supervision, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of Hackergal’s current programs in schools and organizations across Canada.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Assist in preparing and formatting program-related documents (i.e. program materials, lesson plans, presentations, video tutorials, etc.) and uploading of virtual resources on Hackergal Hub.
- Collaborate on the planning and facilitation of engaging learning experiences throughout the school year related to STEAM knowledge and skills, including the logistics preparation and participation in virtual and in-person workshops.
- Coordinate the registration process for Hackathons, events, and workshops and act as the contact person for the participating organizations.
- Research and coordinate event-related prizes and incentives for participants, including sourcing and mailing out prizes, swag, and school learning materials.
- Support the organization of Ambassador Coding Clubs and observe their club facilitation, providing positive and constructive feedback to Ambassadors based on their instructional strategies.
- Participate in regular meetings and workshops with Ambassadors, teachers, and community members accommodating their time zones (EST, PST, MDT, CDT).

- Liaise with team members from partner organizations to coordinate logístical arrangements and schedules for programming.
**What You Bring**
- A passion for our mission to change the technology landscape in Canada and encourage more young women to pursue computer science and STEAM.
- Experience in program coordination and/or event planning with preferred experience in the education and/or non-profit sector
- Ability to be proactive and work well with direction, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, especially as it comes to formatting/publishing work.
**Desired But Not Required**
- Bilingual (French-English) in both verbal and written communications is highly preferred;
- Strong knowledge of educational technology tools and experience working with youth, in-person and virtually are an asset (ex. Coding and robotics, Google Suite for Education, Video conferencing tools, etc.).
