Position Overview:
Job Description:
- Make accurate and cost-effective recommendations for individual part repairs- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 3 or higher. Relevant & applicable external experience to the position will alternatively be considered.- Preference given to those who fall within the value stream & qualify as defined in Schedule C.- Previous experience and competency in a block salvage or machine shop is preferred.- Previous experience machining engine blocks using Rottler Machines is preferred.- Previous exposure to and experience with CNC Programming is preferred.- Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively.- Ability to demonstrate accuracy in measuring skills is preferred.- Ability to read and understand technical documentation is preferred.- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions.- Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and wear a respirator. Note:
- This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours per day- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement-
- Hourly Rate: $31.93 - $43.26 / Hour
Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
