**Business Development Associate**
**Job Summary**:
**Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Create, build and maintain a proprietary database of key contacts and potential clients
- Cold-calling prospects to create interest in products and services and generate new business leads and arrange meetings
- Generate and qualify leads, including research of suitable leads
- Source and develop client referrals
- Schedule sales activity
- Develop and maintain sales pipeline and reports
- Assist Marketing in the development and maintenance of sales and promotional materials
- Conduct direct marketing activities
- Develop presentations of company products and services to potential clients
- Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
- Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
- Play an active participant in sales events throughout the year, across North America (these could include sales conferences, trade shows, client meetings and more)
- Keep a pulse on competitors, market conditions and product development
**Education and Experience**:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of sales
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Prior experience in a sales role/cold-calling role
- Proven experience meeting/exceeding sales targets and metrics
- Experience in making presentations to end customers is a huge asset
**Location**:North York office (hybrid model)

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year
