Sculptural Design Inc. is hiring a fulltime Manufacturing Production Assistant.

Our Company

Sculptural Design is Alberta's leading manufacturer of architectural precast concrete, specializing in custom fireplace surrounds, architectural wall cladding and various other custom concrete projects.

Our production facility is centrally located in Calgary, AB and equipped with leading edge machinery specific to the GFRC industry.

The Role

The position of production assistant is a permanent, full time opportunity with on the job training provided and involves working in all aspects of production and off site installations.

Working alongside our production team and shop foreman your daily duties will include but is not limited to the following:
1. Interpreting shop drawings and plans, building molds, mixing, measuring and casting in forms, un-molding, sanding and finishing.

2. Assist with product installs on commercial and residential job sites.

(Stone / Granite installation experience is an asset).

3. Cleaning tools and maintaining good working condition of all equipment and machinery.

4. Quality assurance

5. Other tasks as assigned.

What we are looking for (Qualifications)
- Experience in a fast paced, hard working environment with a minimum of 2 years in a related field such as carpentry, general labor or precast concrete production.
- Above average construction skills, able to use all hand tools, power tools and other machinery.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Problem solving and logical reasoning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills,
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
- Must be hardworking, Reliable and physically fit.
- Experience in home building/renovation will be considered an asset
- Previous experience working with concrete will be considered an asset.
- Must be motivated and willing to learn, we want someone who is always up for a challenge
- Must have a reliable and registered vehicle and a valid class 5 Drivers license.
- Must be a Permanent Resident of Canada or Canadian Citizen to be considered for this position.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
