**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, seasoning, and cooking ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in food handling and preparation techniques within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices to ensure a safe cooking environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions and provide assistance when needed.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
