**What Is the Opportunity?**

Provides technical advice and account information to underwriting business partners for risk assessment and analysis. Perform technical analyses to assist in the investigation, analysis, evaluation and disposition of claims. Delivers risk control services to clients in assigned territory with respect to building practices. Typically works on accounts of moderate complexity/severity. Works autonomously, but still receives oversight and report review from more senior technical representatives. May be involved in 30-40% of time working with Home Warranty Claims.
**What Will You Do?**
- Travel 30% or more of time performing technical analyses.
- Perform technical analyses on accounts of moderate complexity and/or moderate severity claims with moderate supervision by more senior Technical representatives.
- Write technically detailed reports that provide a clear assessment of risk and clearly articulate recommendations.
- Make appropriate construction contract decisions and make appropriate recommendations to management.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, including compliance, regulatory and performance and customer service standards.
- Provide technical information necessary for underwriting or claim to prepare relevant reports to accurately reflect loss development, technical analyses, potential/actual financial exposure, coverage issues, and claim and recovery strategies.
- Conduct annual client reviews and project site surveys at Client (Builders) sites to determine potential risk factors to be considered in underwriting/risk selection.
- Accurately and quickly communicates with underwriting on client risk factors and recommendations.
- Effectively consults and communicates with clients on ways to control risk and avoid losses. Promotes and encourages clients to implement risk avoidance strategies. Where and when required, directs clients to act.
- Able to identify high risk situations or contract breaches caused by an irresponsible client and promptly reports such situations to a more senior technical representative.
- Analyze loss trends, recognize opportunities to provide risk control products and/or services which can help reduce losses.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory environment and emerging issues.
- Review Building Envelope Consultants Field Reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of residential construction.
- Knowledge of wood framed buildings and building envelopes.
- Experience with concrete construction and related practices.

**What is a Must Have?**
- Technical diploma (BCIT or equivalent) in a construction related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum four years home warranty/construction related experience.
- Have a valid driver's license.
