**Job Overview**

We have an exciting opportunity for an **Energy Advisor** to join Empire in Edmonton, AB. You will provide expert guidance on energy efficiency and conservation measures, serve as a leader within the team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Conducting energy audits and assessments for residential and commercial properties.
- Remaining current and advising construction teams about industry trends, regulations, and technology in energy efficiency. (i.e. blower door tests, 3D modeling/reporting, etc.)
- Maintaining accurate records of assessments, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
- Completing electronic take-offs/mark-ups, and following all specifications received from clients.
- Preparing reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Developing and implementing energy efficiency programs and initiatives.
- Collaborating with government agencies, utility companies, and other stakeholders on energy programs.
- Providing training and mentorship to team members on energy practices and policies.
- Managing and overseeing team performance, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Providing technical support and guidance to the project team during construction phases to remain within specifications and on budget.
- A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation as well as write and present in a persuasive and influencing manner.
- A creative thinker; you identify new ideas, techniques and opportunities to improve performance and productivity.

**Essential** Requirements**
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Post-secondary school in related field(s).
- Certification as an Energy Advisor (e.g., NRCan-certified or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of drywall materials, techniques, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of building science, energy systems, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint) and using energy modeling software and tools.

**Working** Conditions**

You primarily work in an office environment during regular business hours, with frequent site visits. Occasional overtime may be required.
