**How you'll make an impact**
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for managing, developing and growing our TaxCycle market share with Accountants and Bookkeepers across Canada. You will provide consistent support to assist them in adopting and using TaxCycle and also promoting the Xero platform, contributing to their businesses success overall. You’ll form strong relationships with our TaxCycle customers and work closely with our Xero colleagues to ensure you are working in the best way to support Xero’s overall success.
**What you'll do**:
- Outbound and Inbound selling of TaxCycle from Xero products
- Drive customer numbers up to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Cross-selling/promoting Xero when appropriate to accountants and bookkeepers
- Inbound answering of calls when necessary
- While this is primarily a sales related position, Technical Support of company products will be focus during tax season
- Drive attendance at TaxCycle from Xero sales events and Partner Forums
- Attend Trade Shows, Conferences and Seminars to promote company products as necessary
- Some public speaking at seminars may be expected
- This role is a field based role and while most of your focus will be on phone based and internet web demo activities, some travel will be required - mostly during the Fall trade show and seminar season
- Other duties as determined from time to time.
**What you'll bring with you**:
- A positive, customer-centric attitude. We want our people to feel like they are doing the best work in their lives, and believe we are doing it better than anyone else
- At least 4 years proven field sales performance
- Field Account Manager experience
- Strong Business Development experience especially New Business
- Experience of sales within the Financial or Professional Services
- Ability to understand and articulate technical tax legislation concepts
- Problem solving skills with a desire to learn
- Experience/Knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice is desirable
- An interest and intrigue in the emerging online accounting market and Fintech
- Experience of working within the tech space with a particular focus on Cloud / SaaS is an asset
- Results driven approach
- Loads of initiative and ability to work autonomously
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills and an enthusiasm for building strong relationships
- Ability to create a quick and strong rapport with partners
- Attention to detail and proven follow-up
