Payment Operations Center Analyst

| About the role
The Payment Operations Centre Analyst is responsible for providing payments system support and advisory services to financial member clients in a shift rotation environment. This includes: performing and assisting in payment system support, process design and improvement; operational readiness for new and updated services; technical enhancement and maintenance of payments related systems; and incident and problem management. Payments Operations Centre Analysts are the first point of contact for any issues/concerns surrounding Payments Operations Centre activities for Payments Canada’s critical business systems.
- What you’ll be doing
- Act as a first point of contact and relationship liaison for Financial Institutions and Payments Canada.
- Conduct follow-up on customer incidents and problems (i.e. financial institutions).
- Provide unique services to clients including: monitoring systems cycle state, batch production control, developing reports and performing system verification and fault tolerance activities. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine.
- Ensure that payment system or FI incidents are handled in a timely manner and appropriate escalation process is followed.
- Conduct a post-mortem analysis for various incidents and problems in support of the Payments Operations Center (POC) Team Lead, where appropriate.
- You’ll need to have
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent related work experience combined with formal post-secondary education.
- Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience in an operations support environment and/or Service Desk environment an asset
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification in IT Service Managements is considered an asset.
- Participation in on-call support rotation along with periodic overtime will be required after 6 months of employment.
- Government of Canada Level II Secret Clearance

- Knowledge of payment infrastructure is considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English and French)

**Salary**: $59,766.00-$79,689.00 per year
