**Purpose**

The Manager, Financial Reporting, supports the day-to-day core financial reporting and compliance requirements for all Armstrong Collective global entities. It is responsible for financial statement reporting at entity level and the consolidated level.

This position will supervise accountants and senior accountants and will be responsible for timely completion and review of their work, as well as coaching and career development.

**Key Areas of Accountability**

Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis
- Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, disclosures, and other external reporting documents
- Ensure all financial reports comply with applicable accounting standards (ASPE)
- Lead the monthly reporting pack including MD&A presented to the Family owners
- Monitor and interpret new accounting standards and pronouncements; assess and implement changes as necessary
- Coordinate with external auditors for interim and year-end audits and support the audit process with accurate and timely documentation
- Analyze and document complex accounting transactions, including but not limited to revenue recognition, business combinations, equity arrangements, and financial instruments
- Provide accounting guidance and insight to internal stakeholders on non-routine transactions.
- Lead the accounting assessment and documentation of significant events such as mergers, acquisitions, or executive compensation plans.
- Design, implement and maintain internal controls over financial reporting
- Develop and improve reporting processes and systems to drive efficiency and accuracy
- Support the Senior Manager, Tax, for all tax filings
- Lead Indirect Tax Filings
- Support CRA, IRS or other tax authority inquiries and audits
- Provide feedback on team performance and identify areas for improvement. Work collectively with Finance Leadership to build high performing team
- Monitor and manage the workload of the team, including the development of metrics to monitor efficiency
- Ensure timely and compliant filings and administration with various regulators (ABTA, IATA, AAA, Stats Can, etc.)
- Ensure timely reporting to lenders and shareholders

**Qualifications**

**Education/Certifications/Knowledge**
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field required
- CPA designation
- Proficiency with use of Microsoft office programs, along with knowledge of accounting and invoice processing software required

**Experience**
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in full cycle accounting or audit role(s)
- Knowledge of ASPE is an asset
- Knowledge of global financial reporting standards an asset
- Experience in designing or implementing internal controls
- Experience preparing financial statements and compliance reporting
- Prior supervisory experience required
- Experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures and Technical Accounting Memos
- Prior experience in a multi-entity company in several international jurisdictions a strong asset

- Propensity to develop new ideas and create solutions
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and advanced Excel skills

**Work Environment**
- Vancouver based; hybrid role with a minimum 3 days in the office.

**Compensation**
- The base salary offered for this role is $100,000 to $110,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
