Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, in this role you will: - Support an HR team in the delivery of HR services (e.g. posting job ads, HR system access requests, and position management), activities and HR programs (e.g. performance management, recognition and service awards, surveys). - To support workforce-planning initiatives, provide bi-weekly and monthly HR reports to organizational partners. Respond to ad hoc requests for HR information and data. - Provide financial administrative coordination and support to the Human Resources, Training and Health & Safety Division including; budget, forecasting, invoice processing and request for travel/cheque. - Provide advice and recommendations to HR senior management team on administrative and financial processes with a view for continuous improvement. - Coordinate systems/processes for the development, monitoring, analysis and reporting of expenditure tracking, human resources records, HR workplans. - Provide clients with information about HR processes/policies/procedures and/or direct clients to appropriate resources. - Undertake special project assignments and provide support for non-cyclical HR initiatives **How do I qualify?**: **Technical Knowledge**: - Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with current theories/principles of human resources management, organizational theory and design, pay administration, recruitment, performance and talent management, staff relations and redeployment. - Demonstrated knowledge of human resources administration to support program development and coordination of initiatives and to track and respond to inquiries regarding the groups' activities and services. - Demonstrated knowledge of human resources processes to provide support and input into process activities - Demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR information systems and data bases (e.g. Oracle) to access and analyze the data, in order to support the gathering of appropriate data for specific HR-related purposes, and prepare various reports - Excellent knowledge of executive administrative service and business support principles, protocols, methods and practices. - Proven experience in developing, implementing and managing organizational operational and administrative processes and procedures. - Demonstrated knowledge of financial planning, control, analysis and reporting principles, processes and techniques. **Demonstrated Research and Analytical Skills**: - Excellent problem solving and analysis skills to combine strategic thinking with issues management and a service focus to assist all levels of management in decision making. - Demonstrated ability to take initiative, and complete work within tight deadlines and changing priorities, and under mínimal supervision. - Excellent research skills to support the branch on various project initiatives undertaken by the branch and prepare a range of reports on research findings. - Excellent analytical and administrative skills to support a range of human resources projects and programs within the division. **Planning and Interpersonal Skills**: - Strong verbal and written communications skills liaise to with managers, bargaining agents and employees. - Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. - Demonstrated ability to provide thorough and accurate program information and resolve issues in response to inquiries. - Proven ability to contribute effectively as a team member. - Strong project planning skills including gathering
