**General Function**

Reporting to the Product Development and Marketing team, the Culinary and Guest Experience Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of culinary requirements for Onward Manufacturing Company Ltd. including but not limited to maintaining the showroom and kitchen facilities in show ready condition, develop and implement food service for office and guest meals/events designed to highlight the overall capability of the product and support marketing and graphics with food styling and creative.

**Job Responsibilities by Category**:

- Cooking and Event Planning_
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards while maintaining and developing the Broil King cooking techniques.
- Preparation and Cooking for private functions.
- Organize large BBQ events while ensuring food safety standards.
- Develop standard cooking routines for lunch and staff events.
- Be involved in planning, coordination, cooking, and execution of culinary events planned for Onward’s guests, visitors, vendors, etc.
- Maintain the showroom by stocking inventory where needed and making sure all BBQs are cleaned and polished.
- Menu planning, and completing necessary food pick up and ordering based on what is needed for that week.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized kitchen at all times.
- Food Styling_
- Work with the graphics team to create visually appealing food to stage on BBQs or wherever it might be needed.
- Style food appropriately for Photoshoots to promote and tell the story outlined by the Creative Director.
- Reduce food waste by utilizing, in a safe manner, food that has been used for photo shoots.
- Social Media_
- Assist the marketing and creative team in the development of social media content promoting the Broil King Brand.
- Promote use and advantages of Broil King product across our social media platforms.
- Manage the Broil King Recipe Page; review, organize, and keep current and up to date.
- Teaching and Development_
- Develop standard grilling techniques to train stakeholders on key features and benefits of Broil King grills
- Teach staff and visitors standardized techniques to maximize their Broil King experience.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3+ years in Culinary Field
- Culinary degree/diploma, or comparable degree/diploma from a post secondary institute may be considered an assist.
- Experience in large event cooking.
- Social media competent.
- Experience in menu preparation and execution.
- Experience in kitchen organization with an emphasis on cleanliness.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position requires the incumbent to be available both in the office, as well as working off site at event locations or photoshoots.
- Travel to offsite events is required (overnights and weekends may be included in this).
- The working area is expected to be organized, clean and well maintained.

**Work Hours**:

- As required
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm EST
- Additional time as required may include travel, weekends, our overnight commitments.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
