**Apprentice Machinist Job Posting**

Goodwin Tool & Machine LTD is a custom machine shop located on the edge of Brantford, ON and we are seeking a dedicated Apprentice to join our team

**Work Hours And benefits**:
We typically run a 40-hour week Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-2pm

Opportunity for occasional Saturday overtime.

Wage to be determined based on ability

Benefits are given after 3 months of employment, uniforms available upon request.

**Apprentice Machinist Job Responsibilities Include but not limited to**:

- Train in basic measurements, assembly, blueprint reading, and many other manufacturing processes
- Under supervision, operates machine tools and equipment, such as manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and CNC turning and milling equipment
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation
- Complete Other duties as directed by shop supervisor or shop manager
- Adhere to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility

**Apprentice Qualifications/Skills**:

- Completion of Machinist Pre-Apprentice program
- Ability to learn on both CNC and manual equipment is an asset
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy as well as safety.
- Strong communication within the team.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
- Applicants must be hard working and be dedicated to the trade and looking to pursue a career as a machinist.
