**Requisition ID**: 151949 **Cost Centre**: Mortgage Security & Property Insurance **Employee Referral Program - Potential Reward**: $1,000.00 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at Scotiabank. **Purpose** Contributes to the overall success of the MSPI - Property Insurance Tracking Centre in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Provide processing support by ensuring all new mortgages funded have Property Insurance details provided to the Bank to ensure customers and the Bank are protected. This includes following-up on outstanding property insurance policies with customers, Insurance Companies or Solicitors and answering general procedural queries from customers, Insurance Companies or Solicitors as they pertain to property insurance processes. - Provide customers and business line partners with excellent service levels by processing customer, Insurance Company and Solicitor requests in a timely and efficient manner as well as investigating and resolving issues/customer complaints raised by branches, partners, customers, Insurance Companies and Solicitors - Efficiently responds to Property Insurance cancellation notices received and ensures replacement coverage is in place, by contacting the Customer, Insurance Company or Solicitor, escalating as required - Taking ownership for self-learning and personal development planning, working with their leader in the identification of skills, behaviors, and competencies required to achieve goals. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Skills and Requirements** - High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of office work related experience - Basic Computer Skills, including common software tools (Microsoft Office products) - Knowledge of the mortgage industry and products, or relevant experience - Ability to deal effectively and independently with Branch/customer/Insurance Company/Solicitor inquiries, concerns or complaints and provide prompt and accurate resolution to the complete satisfaction of all parties involved. **Working Conditions** - Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. - Requires very close attention reviewing/reading material - Pressure from meeting deadlines and situations requiring prompt attention - Can experience significant fluctuations in volumes of work or unexpected events (e.g. system problems) which may require overtime Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Stratford Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
