**PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
**POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Fuel, sand locomotives and re-supply cab amenities, as required
- Perform inspections and basic repairs on all Locomotives, fuel tanks, cab equipment
- Evaluation of parts for reuse or replacement
- Service locomotive cabs which include cleaning cab walls, locomotive toilets, windows and floors
- Test all cab electrical devices, set-up cab brakes as per requirements of the train operations, test all safety devices and ensure crew to crew forms are completed
- Must obtain / maintain Shop Track Operations Curriculum (STOC) and Locomotive Safety Inspection (LSI) certification
- Other duties as required as per collective agreement

**POSITION REQUIERMENTS**:

- High school diploma/general equivalency diploma or equivalent experience, required
- Valid driver’s license, required
- Commercial driver’s license (Class 1A,3A) preferred;
- Available to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays in all weather conditions
- Ability to pass the required written examinations, read and understand safety instructions, rules, regulations and other written or printed material in English
- Proven dedication to safety and ability to complete work within guidelines/rules
