educational services to families across our 6 schools in Calgary. Our programs are designed to support

young children who may not be meeting typical developmental milestones. We offer programs in our

We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our HR Department as a **Talent Acquisition**

**Specialist**. This full-time position will start in** October 2024** and will be working on-site at Windsor Park

location (occasional travel between all school locations within Calgary). The hours of work are 8 AM - 4

PM (Monday to Friday). It is a condition of employment at Providence that all employees are vaccinated

against COVID-19.

**Position Summary**:
while facilitating full-cycle recruitment activities for various roles across the organization. Additionally, the

TA Specialist will support onboarding new employees and participate in projects to enhance the

development and delivery of Human Resources operations, under the direction of the HR Advisor. This

position requires strong working knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and legislation. It is crucial

that confidentiality standards are maintained.

- Computer and numerical literacy, comfortable working with databases and metrics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - relevant to recruitment process, preparation of HR

documents, reports, and statistical data.
- Must be flexible to work outside of their scheduled hours for Providence related events, etc. This

position requires driving between school sites within Calgary.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Responsible for end to end recruitment (internal and external) - manage job postings, conduct initial

offer negotiations, etc.
- Ensure talent pipeline is maintained in accordance with Providence’s recruitment policies. Contribute

to projects enhancing recruitment strategies and processes.
- With support from the HR Advisor, administer the onboarding and offboarding process (i.e. new hire

package, orientation program, exit interviews, etc.)

Support pre-boarding activities, greet new hires on their first day, and follow up throughout the first
few weeks.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools effectively.
- Participate in hiring events, career fairs, or other industry events as required.
- Support and counsel supervisors on probationary reviews and related performance management.
- Support with the planning, development and delivery of learning initiatives for new and existing

employees in conjunction with their supervisors.
- Provide guidance to workers and managers on the interpretation of Human Resources related policies

and employment legislation, monitor compliance and act on gaps and risks
- Assess critical workforce metrics and data (e.g., surveys, exit interviews) to generate insights that

inform decisions and strategy and report to leadership

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/business or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ relevant recruitment and HR administration experience.
- Must have own vehicle, possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and $2,000,000 liability insurance. Able

to travel between all school sites.
- Broad HR Generalist experience across a multitude of areas; talent acquisition and management,

employee relations, general administration and HRIS systems.
- Experience in coaching leaders and supporting employees to effectively use the various talent

development and engagement programs and processes.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with ATS

and HRIS software preferred.
