The Financial Analyst, Inventory is responsible for the maintenance of inventory subledger and ensuring inventory transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Partner with Stores, DC and IT to ensure smooth inventory counts (6 per year) as well as timely and meaningful reporting of results
- Reconcile and upload final inventory count results to SAP and confirm accuracy of results loaded
- Prepare reporting to Stores and Executives on inventory count results including comparatives
- Ensure integrity of consignment inventory transactions and ending balances
- Partner with the business (Merchants, Stores, Supply Chain & A/P) on various inventory related transactions and matters
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of all inventory accounts, identify and investigate any irregularities or exceptional items
- Prepare and review monthly reporting of MAC and PPV adjustments
- Prepare inventory shrink and reserves budgets & forecasts and assist the planning and analysis team in the interpretation of financial results
- Report on monthly shrink results to Management with analysis versus budget and/or forecast
- Maintain, analyze and review shrink reserve rates in SAP
- Prepare inventory related month end journal entries in SAP
- Park monthly accrual journal entries from Business and review for reasonability
- Make bi-weekly cheque deposits with Bank and track cheques accordingly
- Reconcile other GL accounts monthly including customer deposits and prepaids; investigate and resolve any variances that arise
- Act as liaison with external auditors on inventory related matters as required during financial statement audits
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis, reports, and special projects as necessary
- University Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional accountancy designation (CPA) - MUST HAVE
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
- Advanced SAP skills including experience with Inventory modules
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Proficient in remaining Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to get things done
- Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player
- Confident and effective communication (written & verbal)
- Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
- Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
