**About Refood**:
Based on the report by the BC Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) about one in nine households (11.8%) in British Columbia could be considered food insecure.

Refood Food Rescue Foundation is a non-profit social enterprise that responds to this issue by reducing food waste, re-purposing ugly foods, and re-educating the public about food.

By partnering with grocers and local non-profit organizations we serve at-risk populations with surplus food that otherwise would have gone to waste. Despite all the challenges, proudly we delivered 216,000 meals to those in need during the second half of 2020.

**Estimated Time Commitment**:
At least 4 hours per week, virtual

Immediate start date; minimum commitment of 3 months is required.

**Scope of Work**
- Perform a market and competitive analysis, regarding scheduling, pickup & delivery schedules for drivers & food distributors.
- Performing research to identify major competitors, new marketing tactics, stronger business strategies.
- Performing research to identify new areas of opportunities and comparing key market metrics.
- Performing research on identifying the strategies to succeed and run the operation in an organized manner.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Analytics (preferred)
- 2+ years experience in logistics management
- A research mind-set and good analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proven commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

**Accountability**:

- The Volunteer Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for doing research related to scheduling and logistics requirements.

**Benefits**
- Refood will provide a letter of recommendation to the Volunteer Logistics Coordinator at the successful conclusion of the project, and serve as a reference, if appropriate.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4 per week

Pay: $1.00-$2.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
